The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen occupies an excellent position in the international museum world, with important works ranging from Pablo Picasso, Wassily Kandinsky, René Magritte to Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock, Gerhard Richter and many others. Since 2009, the foundation has a second exhibition centre: The Schmela House (Mutter-Ey-Straße 3) close to K20. The former gallery is a meeting point instrumental in shaping the identity of the Düsseldorf art scene.

Pay 9,50€ in K20 and K21 each instead of 12€. Both houses can be visited with a combiticket for 16€ (instead of 21€). Students of fine arts and art research enter for free, if subjects are noted on the student idenfication card.
