Commissioned persons

Representatives / commissioner

For many areas of academic life, so-called representatives / commissioners have been designated: These are individuals who have been appointed by a university body (e.g. President’s office or Senate).

Generally the representatives only have an advisory function. In some cases, though, legislation may have equipped them with their own fields of competence so that they constitute an important point of contact within the university, e.g. the Equal Opportunities Officer.
