Anti-Semitism Officer

The Rectorate has appointed an Anti-Semitism Officer to support the prevention, awareness and control of anti-Semitism and related forms of discrimination. Their main duties include:

  • Acting as advisor to students, teaching staff and employees on all questions and issues relating to the topic of anti-Semitism, and for all measures aimed at strengthening respectful and non-discriminatory interaction at the University
  • Documentation of anti-Semitic incidents at HHU
  • Realisation of regular events on the content, structure and dissemination of anti-Semitic ideology
  • Development of pedagogic concepts in collaboration with stakeholders in political education
  • Coordination of and decision-making authority on overarching anti-Semitism prevention issues and the implementation of supporting measures within University structures with the aim of encouraging commitment to tolerance and diversity throughout the University
