Contacting the Düsseldorf Immigration Office
Both options are possible. However, the Immigration Office has explicitly requested that you do not submit the same inquiry simultaneously via multiple portals. This results in unnecessary duplication of inquiries, which slows processes down.
In principle, it is possible to contact the Office via the hotline (+49 211 8929036). However, it is recommended that inquiries are submitted in writing to the functional e-mail address .
No. If you do not have an appointment or if you have not explicitly been invited, this is not an option.
The Service Point of Office 54 will send out appointments for residence permit awards once your application has been approved.
Other appointments are not usually possible.
Many of the employees speak English. However, they are not obligated to do so and the official language is German. If you cannot speak German, you can take an interpreter with you to your appointment. However, you must pay for their services yourself.
Please be patient in this case. The Immigration Office is doing its best to process the numerous applications as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, this is not possible in every case. If they require further documents from you, the staff processing your application will contact you.
