Consultation sessions offered by the Düsseldorf Immigration Office

Staff from the Düsseldorf Immigration Office regularly offer personal consultation sessions for international students from non-EU countries on the HHU campus.

The sessions are particularly suitable for dealing with:
• Questions about residence titles (extensions)
• Questions about required documents
• General questions relating to residence titles during your studies

The following matters cannot be dealt with during the sessions:
• Granting of initial residence titles
• Issue of certificates/documents
• Extremely complex individual cases
The Immigration Office provides separate appointments for such matters.

The consultation sessions take place at the Student Services Centre (SSC), building 21.02, room 27 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. 

Sessions are scheduled on (usually the last Friday of the month):

30 October 2026
27 November 2026
18 December 2026

• Registration deadline: the Tuesday before the corresponding consultation session

Important notes:
• Consultations are only possible by prior appointment.
• Appointments will be awarded in order of receipt of registration. You will then receive an appointment confirmation together with the actual time by e-mail.
• As the number of appointments is limited, we recommend registering as early as possible. 
• Appointments are 10 minutes long.
• Please bring your passport, residence title (where available) and a current Transcript of Records with you.
• The session can be held in German or English.
