MACH Competence Center (MKZ)

The MACH Competence Center at Heinrich Heine University is a cooperation of currently 20 universities and (technical) colleges in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, which work with the ERP solution MACH in their administrations. MACH AG is an ERP solution provider specialized in public administrations and non-profit organizations, including many universities, colleges and institutes in Germany and Austria.

Since the end of 2012, the competence center has been supporting the participating cooperation universities in adapting the IT infrastructure of their administrations to constantly changing and increasing requirements: new legal regulations must be implemented and increasingly complex processes must be digitally supported. Increasingly, it is also a question of ensuring a clear IT landscape. The MKZ promotes cooperation between the participating universities and, through constant exchange of knowledge and experience in workshops, training courses or lectures, ensures that no institution has to start "from scratch" when dealing with challenges. In addition, the Competence Center informs the member universities about current topics, provides technical assistance and coordinates inquiries, requirements and offers of support.
