Because with a total of 3,158 journeys, 4,716.6 kg of CO2 were saved by the active cyclists compared to journeys by car. Second place in the HHU team went to Heidrun Riese with 1,216.2 km; she receives a voucher for the Cycles bicycle shop. And in third place came Stephan Raub with 988.7 km; he too can look forward to a Cycles voucher.
Another five active cyclists will each receive a surprise package from the HCSD by random draw. They were informed by mail. With 1,392, Renato Vukovic achieved the highest kilometres per capita in his one-man sub-team "Dialog Systems and Machine Learning" during the three-week campaign period. The PhD student named himself after his working group with Prof. Dr. Milica Gašić. He gave up all other means of transport especially for the city cycling and also covered longer distances by bike.
"It's great that so many HHU members took part - we're already looking forward to city cycling in 2024," says team leader Lara Müller. On 12 July, the tree sponsorship, which is valid for one year, was activated at a photo session.
