Re-registration

The re-registration period for the 2024 summer semester is from 15.01.2024 to 15.02.2024. Please transfer the semester fee of 298,05 euros to the  following bank account:

You can also pay the semester fee by debit card at the Student Service Center.

Re-registration FAQs

Students

Please transfer the amount shown in the E-Student-Services under “Payments” by 15.08.2023. As soon as we have received your payment you will be re-registered. This automatically makes your HHU card valid for another semester.

Your re-registration is probably not possible due to an obstacle preventing re-registration or a re-registration lock. The relevant lock is displayed under "My studies". Here you can find out what to do in order to be re-registered.

In the case of a leave of absence due to ill health or a period of study abroad, only the reduced semester fee is payable. In case of all other reasons for a leave of absence, the full fee will be charged. You can find the exact amount in the E-Student-Services under “Payments”.

No, if you have completely finished your study programme in the current semester, please do not re-register. Only re-register if you would like to start a further study programme.

⚠️ Once you are re-registered, the semester fee cannot be refunded after the start of the lecture period.  In the event that  you receive admission to another university, an exception can be made.

If you find out in the coming semester that you have not passed the final examination in this semester, we will re-enrol you for the coming semester.

Re-registration is still possible for a late fee of 10 €. In the event of non-payment, a notice will be sent on the 7th working day after the re-registration deadline announcing that you will be de-registered.

You will then be de-registered due to “failure to re-register”.

You can apply for a change of subject irrespective of your registration status. However, the change can only be executed once you have paid the semester fee and are thus re-registered.

Cross-registered students

Please submit the so-called “subsequent application form” (German only) along with a certificate of enrolment from your first university for the semester for which you want to re-register by 15.08.2023: .

As a "minor" cross-registered student, please submit the so-called “subsequent application form” (German only) along with a certificate of enrolment from your first university for the semester for which you want to re-register by the 06.10.2023: .

Additionally, a fee of 100 € has to be paid. This fee does not apply if you are enrolled at RSH Düsseldorf.

Auditing Doctoral Researchers

Please transfer the fee in the amount of 50 € by 06.10.2023. As soon as we have received your payment you will be re-registered.

Visiting Students

Please transfer the fee in the amount of 100 € by 06.10.2023. As soon as we have received your payment you will be re-registered. The fee is waived for participants of academic further education programmes.

Students of German courses at HHU

Please transfer the amount shown in the E-Student-Services under “Payments” as soon as possible. Please also submit a certificate verifying your participation in a German course from the General Student’s Committee (AStA), the Student Academy or Student Services to: . As soon as you are re-registered for the next semester, your HHU card is automatically valid for another semester.
