Sonderfälle Bewerbung
There are some types of applications that have special requirements. These include, for example, applying for a higher semester or selecting the subject "Fach bleibt". All these special cases are explained below.
If you wish to apply for a higher semester, this is only possible with the notification of recognition of completed courses. You can obtain this from the course recognition advisors of the respective department at HHU.
There are exceptions for applications for higher semesters in medicine.
An application is possible for the following study sections:
Preclinical phase (2nd-4th semester): First part of studies before completing the first section of the medical examination.
Clinic phase (from 5th semester): Part of the course of study after completing the first section of the medical licence examination. When applying for the 1st clinical semester, select “1st semester”, for the 2nd clinical semester “2nd semester”, etc.
You will receive the notification of recognition of completed courses from the course recognition advisors of the respective department at HHU.
Please note: If you only upload a transcript of records or the certificate of enrollment from the previous university in the application portal, your application will be provisionally excluded until you upload the HHU's letter of recognition.
“Fach bleibt” is only for students of HHU who are studying Bachelor's degree programs with Kern- und Ergänzungsfach and who only want to change one subject.
For example: If you are studying Philosophy as a Kernfach (KF) and History as a Ergänzungsfach (EF), and you would like to change the KF Philosophy to German Studies, apply for “German Studies” in the KF and “Fach bleibt” in the EF. The same applies vice versa: if you would like to continue studying Philosophy, but want to change the EF History to German Studies, then select “Subject remains” in the KF and “German Studies” in the EF.
