Support from the Career Service

It will soon be time to embark on a career... What’s your next step?

The Career Service offers guidance on the transition from university to professional life and is the first point of contact for graduates with questions and concerns relating to entering the world of work.

Well-prepared – the Campus Fair preparation workshop is there to help!

The Career Service can also help you prepare for the Campus Fair to ensure your visit is a success. The Campus Fair is a good opportunity to talk to potential employers and establish initial contacts. But what’s the best way to prepare for your visit and what (unwritten) rules do you need to observe? The Campus Fair preparation workshop offered by the Career Service answers the most important questions about visiting the event.

At this workshop, the coaches will not only take a look at your curriculum vitae, but also cover topics such as selecting the right outfit and general recommendations. You will be guided through how to prepare and follow up interviews with potential employers and have the opportunity to simulate such interviews via sample questions before the Campus Fair.

The workshop „Messe-Knigge“ will take place on Wednesday, May 08 and 15, 2024, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. /SSC, Room 21.02 (registration via HIS-LSF)

Application documents check

Do you want to ensure that your application documents are complete and appropriate for an interview with your potential future employers? The HHU Career Service is offering “application documents checks” free of charge.

Each check is specific to the position and company you are targeting, as well as the requirements of the applicant profile. You can also prepare for upcoming interviews with potential employers.

Please visit the Career Service booth (no. 44 in building 22.01) at the Campus Fair between 12.30 –  5 p. m. on 22 May 2024 to obtain an application documents check.
