On Tuesdays, the Employment Agency offers English counseling in the SSC on the topics of vocational and school education.

Ukrainian guest students may attend events open to guest students and other events that individual lecturers also choose to open to guest students in view of the current situation.

The taking and passing of exams will be certified by lecturers to enable the corresponding course and exam credits to be recognised as regular course and exam credits at HHU or another university at a later date.

Prospective Ukrainian students who have obtained a university place for the winter semester 2022/23 and who have enrolled do not have to pay the semester fee. The fee for the winter semester 2022/23 will be financed by donations.

Who can obtain grants? 

Enrolled students (BA, MA, state examination) at HHU with Ukrainian citizenship who are experiencing financial difficulties due to the war and want to continue their studies at HHU. 

Scope and duration of funding 

861 € per month, provided there is no other funding of over 450 € 

Other income or scholarships from 450 € are counted towards the funding amount, i.e. the funding is then reduced to this amount. 

The grant is offered on a semester basis. 

ow do I apply? 

Fill out the application and submit it personally with all attachments to the contact person listed below (after making an appointment by phone) 

Attachments are: 

1. Current certificate of enrollment at HHU 

2. Proof of Ukrainian citizenship (original with English statement) 

3. Justification of the emergency: typewritten text, a maximum of 350 words in German or English 

4. Bank statements from the last 3 months (originals for inspection) 

 

Application deadline 

An application is possible at any time. The scholarship is granted until the end of the current semester.
