Short description

Based on a previously acquired Bachelor of German Studies the Master of German Studies is geared towards consolidating and broadening subject-specific knowledge and methods. It comprises the traditional areas of German Studies (“German Linguistics”, “Modern German Literature”, “Medieval Studies”) as well as “Theory and History of Written and Spoken Communication” (consisting of linguistic mediation and literature mediation; verbal competence in speech, conversation, negotiation; written competence in the production of different kinds of texts; history and theory of writing).

Please note that the application for this master programme takes place in German language. All lectures as well as exams will be held in German.
