Experiments in Chemistry and Physics in the students’ laboratory


HHU’s student laboratory provides pupils who are especially interested in Chemistry or Physics the opportunity to experiment independently but under supervision. The programme is particularly geared towards pupils in school years 8 and 9 and comprises workshops lasting at least two days, carried out in the afternoons in the laboratories at Heinrich Heine University. One-week intensive workshops are also offered during the school holidays. Schools may recommend pupils for registration.

Looking for smart people: Dr. Hans Riegel awards for Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics


Heinrich Heine University and the Dr. Hans Riegel foundation are looking for smart people, who would like to send in their Facharbeit (paper) and win. The three best papers written in year 12 in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics are awarded a prize each school year. All pupils attending grammar and comprehensive schools in the Düsseldorf / Wuppertal region, as well as any from the Lower Rhine region, are invited to take part.
