Get-together of the Claus Family Foundation

Zoom

On Thursday, 20 June 2024, the Claus Family Foundation met with its sponsored scholarship holders for a nice get-together in the "Faculty Club" at HHU. The Claus Family Foundation has been committed to supporting students with outstanding achievements for many years as part of the Heinrich Heine University's "Seizing Opportunities" scholarship programme.

After Mrs Barbara Claus and her daughter-in-law Ulrike welcomed the scholarship holders and an interesting round of introductions of all participants, four short presentations by scholarship holders on topics from their everyday studies stimulated discussion. Raphael C. (Physics programme) began with his presentation on "Extrasolar planets". This was followed by Leonie K. (Pharmacy degree programme), who spoke about "The future of pharmacies", Janik S. (Business Chemistry degree programme) with the topic "Rechargeable batteries, current status and what the future holds" and Jesko W. (Medical Physics degree programme) with the topic "Laser Wakefield Acceleration - current research in the Hidding working group". After the interesting presentations, they also exchanged views on general topics, such as: what was decisive for choosing the chosen degree programme and the University of Düsseldorf, what the past Corona period brought with it and what else there was to report from everyday life at the university. Finally, there was a lively discussion about each other's experiences over a small snack.
