The Jones Day Foundation has been supporting refugees from Ukraine at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf for several years. On 6 February 2025, 11 scholarship holders from the Deutschlandstipendium and the "Perspectives" funding line were invited to the Düsseldorf office of Jones Day together with Stefanie Folke-Sabel from the HHU VMSF staff unit. Professor Paul de Beauregard and his colleague Eva-Maria Lange welcomed the scholarship holders to the historic Stahlhof for a communicative lunch with plenty of opportunity for dialogue. The sponsors presented themselves as contacts for career questions and the guests from many different study programmes also had the opportunity to network with each other. It is particularly positive that some of the students have been able to qualify for the scholarship again and are supported by Jones Day.
