Sustainable Space Conference in Rome
How can we tackle climate change or manage natural resources better?
The UNIVERSEH team at the University of Rome Tor Vergata cordially invites you to apply for their Sustainable Space Conference, taking place on 28 and 29 September 2026 on the university’s campus in Rome. The selected five students will have the opportunity to participate in an engaging programme, discussing issues related to sustainable space travel and developing their intercultural skills alongside around 50 other students from the Alliance.
The European University for Earth and Humanity (UNIVERSEH), is a European University Alliance funded by the European Commission. Starting from November 2020 UNIVERSEH is an Alliance of now 7 partner universities, spread all over Europe, that aims to create new higher education interactive experiences for the university community, teachers and students, and for the benefit of society as a whole.

The Sustainable Space Conference is a short-term mobility program offered by UNIVERSEH.
It consists of two days spent in Rome, featuring an intensive program of lectures, assignments, and interactive workshops.
Open to all undergrad and graduate students enrolled at Heinrich Heine University. All study levels are welcome (BA, MA, State Examination, PHD), regardless of the field of studies. No pre-knowledge expected.
Join 50 students from the UNIVERSEH Alliance and discover how sustainable development can be addressed at different scales. Explore topics ranging from health, equality, culture, and skills in everyday life on Earth to environmental protection, climate action, natural resource management, and the sustainable use of outer space.
Expand your interdisciplinary and intercultural skill set, collaborate with students from diverse academic backgrounds, and help shape innovative approaches to the role of space across multiple domains.
The flight ticket from Düsseldorf to Rome and back to Düsseldorf will be paid by UNIVERSEH. Accommodation in Rome will be reserved and paid for by UNIVERSEH.
