An introduction to Space Sciences
The UNIVERSEH team at the Université de Namur invites you to apply for its Spring School, which will take place from 21 to 27 April 2025 at the Euro Space Centre in Libin. The 2 selected students will have the opportunity to participate in a blended programme consisting of interesting online project work and a week on site in Libin.
The European University for Earth and Humanity (UNIVERSEH), is a European University Alliance funded by the European Commission. Starting from November 2020 UNIVERSEH is an Alliance of now 7 partner universities, spread all over Europe, that aims to create new higher education interactive experiences for the university community, teachers and students, and for the benefit of society as a whole.

The Spring School - Space is all around, is a short-term mobility offer by UNIVERSEH.
It consists of preliminary online meetings, a week spend abroad at Euro Space Center in Belgium, and approx. two weeks of continuous online project work.
The succesful participation will be rewarded with not only great experience, new friends all over Europe and expanded knowledge about Space Sciences but as well with a certificate and 3 ECTS.
Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled at the Heinrich Heine University (also in the summer semester 2025). All levels of study are welcome (BA, MA, Staatsexamen, PHD), regardless of subject. No prior knowledge is expected.
Discover several aspects of the space sector, from engineering and science to humanities.
The Spring school will include plenary general conferences on various topics, team-building activities inspired by astronaut training at the Euro Space Center (the only space-themed park in Europe), visits of the ESA Academy facilities and ESEC-Redu station, a cosmicathon (team-based challenge around space mission design), planetarium and stargazing sessions, etc.
Your successful participation will earn you a certificate and 3 ECTS points.
The train ticket from Aachen to Namur and back to Aachen will be paid by UNIVERSEH. Accommodation in Libin will be reserved and paid for by UNIVERSEH.
Complete the application form and attach a motivation letter (max. 250 words), your current certificate of study and transcrip of records. Selected students will be required to present their certificate of enrolment at HHU for the summer semester 2025 in January/February 2025.
