Europe Day 2026
Making Europe Grow Together in Space
We celebrate Europe Day 2026—together with you and the academic community.
Around Europe Day, we’re putting the “we” at the heart of everything. But what does Europe really mean to us? Is it the freedom to cross borders? The exchange in lecture halls? Or the shared values that bind us together?
We asked exactly that: How do research and teaching strengthen our European sense of community?
Over the course of the week before Europe Day, we’ll be sharing the most exciting answers from students, lecturers, our university leadership, and even the mayor of the City of Düsseldorf.
You’ll find our campaign on the UNIVERSEH and HHU channels. Use the adjacent links to follow us on social media and stay tuned for more. Or dive right into it and take a look at some of the videos below. Want to binge the whole lot? Check out our YouTube playlist. Get inspired and feel free to share your own definition of Europe with us!
