SchifffahrtMuseum im Schlossturm (shipping museum in the palace tower)

SchifffahrtMuseum im Schlossturm

The Castle Tower is the only surviving part of the City Castle. Since 1984, it has been home to one of the oldest inland navigation collections. Over five floors, exhibits from the topics of river ecology, shipbuilding, trade and travel depict life by and on the river – yesterday and today. A computer archive with over 2000 pictures documents other themes surrounding the river and the multimedia display (German/English) brings city and castle history alive again.
