Arriving by train

Düsseldorf main station is connected to all international long-distance train routes. The U79 goes from the main station directly to the university, stop “Südpark” (South park) or “Universität Ost” (University east), travel time from the station around 10 minutes.
Alternatively you can take tram 707 and get off at “Christophstraße” or “Südpark”, travel time from the station around 20 minutes.

Arriving by bus

The university is on the routes of the following buses: 735, 827, 835 and 836. If you take the 735 or 827 you can get off at “Universität Mensa” (university canteen). If you take the 835 or 836 you can get off at “Universität West” (University west) or “Universität Mensa” (university canteen).
 

Arriving by car

As there is a lot of ongoing building work on campus at the moment, parking is particularly difficult – please plan enough time to look for somewhere to park!
 

from the East

The university is best reached from Hildener Kreuz (Hilden junction) (A3 / A46) via Düsseldorf-Süd junction (Düsseldorf south) (A46). Leave the A46 in the tunnel (exit AS 24 Zentrum / Universität = centre / university). Turn left at the first traffic lights into Universitätsstrasse which runs through the campus.
 

from the West

The university is best reached from Neuss-Süd junction (Neuss south) where the A46 and A57 merge. After the Fleher Rhine bridge take the exit AS23 Bilk / Zentrum / Hafen / Benrath (Bilk / centre / harbour / Benrath). Stay in the right-hand lane and follow the signs to Benrath / Universität (Benrath / university).
 

from the centre of town

The university is best reached via Corneliusstrasse, then Witzelstrasse (following signs for the A46 and Wuppertal), and then turn right into Universitätsstrasse.
