The YouTube channel of the Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Selbsthilfe von Menschen mit Behinderungen und chronischen Erkrankungen Rheinland-Pfalz e.V. (Rhineland-Palatinate state working group for self-help for people with disabilities and chronic illnesses) (German only) offers numerous informative videos on the topics of self-help, chronic illnesses, disabilities, accessibility, etc. 

As an example, we would like to mention the documentary “Neurodiversität und AD(H)S im Fokus” (neurodiversity and AD(H)D in focus) (German only) which, after providing some introductory definitions of terms, offers interesting insights into living with AD(H)D. 

Regular get-together for students who require assistance with studies

From 6 to 8 p.m. on every second Monday of the month, the kombabb support organisation for those studying with disabilities and chronic illnesses in the state of NRW (German only) hosts an online get-together for students who require assistance with studies where they can exchange day-to-day experiences in a safe space. Student donation appeal

A student at our University needs a new wheelchair to enable accessible studies. He has launched a donation appeal to finance this wheelchair.

Panagiotis – Breaking down barriers

A 14-minute video documentary (in German) about ten-year-old Panagiotis from Athens. As UNICEF’s first disabilities rights youth advocate in Greece, he represents children with regard to issues such as accessibility in school, day-to-day life and sport. You can find the video on the website of the TV broadcaster ZDF (German only).

You can find information on the topic of studying with disabilities on the website of the German National Association for Student Affairs. This website also provides numerous documents and the archive of the newsletter published by the Information and Advice Center for Studies and Disability in an online library (German only).
