Filming and Photography at Heinrich Heine University
Journalistic photo or video recordings on the campus and in the buildings of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf require prior approval from the University’s Press and Communications Office. Without such approval, recordings are not permitted.
Please note that recordings for promotional or advertising purposes without a journalistic context cannot be authorized at our public university.
To request approval, please contact the relevant person listed here via email and include the following information:
- Name of your media outlet and your contact details,
- Topic or subject of the planned coverage,
- Preferred locations and times for the recordings,
- Number of people involved in the production,
- Expected publication or broadcast date (if known),
- Mobile number of the person in charge on site.
Please be aware that you are responsible for obtaining separate, explicit consent from any individuals you film or photograph.
Separate permissions are required for recordings in the areas managed by the Studierendenwerk Düsseldorf (e.g. the cafeteria, cafés, dormitories, and the café "Ex Libris"), the University Hospital Düsseldorf, the Botanical Garden, and the interior areas of the University and State Library (ULB). Please contact the respective press officers for these institutions directly.
