Residential districts in Düsseldorf
Generally, all districts in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area offer good and safe living space. The university is located between the districts Bilk and Wersten. Bilk is very popular among students, so there are many cafés and bars. Central districts are Friedrichstadt, Carlstadt, Stadtmitte (city center), Unterbilk, Oberbilk, Flingern, Düsseltal and Pempelfort. Wersten, Eller, Lierenfeld and Holthausen are closer to the university, but are also well connected to the center by public transport.
