Erasmus Study Stay Abroad

Are you thinking about spending some time in another European country during your studies?

Erasmus provides funding for stays abroad during your studies under certain conditions, which vary from year to year. A new project is launched every year.
In our download area on the right you will find many important documents and information that you need for your application process as well as for the time before, during & after your stay.
For detailed information on Project 2024 for study visits in the winter semester 2024/25 and summer semester 2025, please refer to the document ‘Factsheet Project 2024’.

Partner universities

Italy? Spain? Finland? Or maybe the Czech Republic?
If you are plan to study abroad for one or two semesters, the first question is of course: where should I go?
You can use our publisher (see end of page) to research all Erasmus partner universities of your department. There you will also find the experience reports by former Erasmus students (German only), which will help you decide on a partner university and plan your stay.

Application

Please apply both via our online application and to your Erasmus Departmental Coordinator! Both applications must be submitted in order for you to receive a place.
If you intend to apply for the Social Top-Up additional funding for students with fewer opportunities, please note that the corresponding application form (declaration on honour) must be uploaded together with the online application. The declaration on honour can be downloaded from the online application. Submission of the form after the online application will not be accepted.
You can find out which students are eligible to apply for additional Social Top-Up funding here.
