Central operating units /service units

Central operating units at HHU provide important infrastructural services for the entire university - from research support and structural assistance for spin-offs, to essential services in connection with books, media or information technology. They are your competent contact partners for questions or assistance in their respective fields.

Botanical Garden

The HHU Botanical Garden is a service provider for research. With its greenhouses and landscaped flower beds around the dome, it is a popular attraction for the locals. It offers exciting events with changing exhibitions and guided tours.

CEDUS

The Center for Entrepreneurship (CEDUS) is HHU's central point of contact for all questions concerning self-employment, spin-offs and business start-ups.

HCSD

The Heine Center for Sustainable Development (HCSD) is the institutional home of HHU's sustainability management. It is dedicated to the areas of sustainable development in the sections Diversity, Environment and Health.

Heine Center for Academic Further Education

The Heine Center for Academic Further Education is the HHU's central point of contact for all questions concerning further education.

JUNO

The Junior Scientist and International Researcher Center (JUNO) offers an interdisciplinary qualification and training programme for postdocs and junior professors. It is the central contact and consultation point for international researchers.

SeLL

The Service Center for Good Teaching and Learning (SeLL) is an institution for the promotion of teaching and offers further training, advice and exchange on the planning and design of courses, modules and degree programs in a way that is appropriate for learning.

ULB

The University and State Library (ULB) is one of HHU's central service institutions. It's collections and services are available to the public. It also performs state library functions. It has been located on the campus since 1978.

ZIM

The Center for Information and Media Technology (ZIM) is a central operating unit of HHU. It functions as a service and competence center for all aspects of digital information processing, communication and the use of digital media.
