Student Representatives (Fachschaften)

Fachschaft is the name given to the organisation of students within one department. Once a year a group of students is elected to represent their fellow students as the so-called Fachschaftsvertretung or Fachschaftsrat. 

The student representatives offer introductory tutorials at the beginning of a semester and produce a lecture timetable.
