The DDZ is an interdisciplinary research institution in Düsseldorf that combines basic molecular and cell biological research with clinical and epidemiological research approaches.

'Wissensregion Düsseldorf' operates as an interface between universities and local partners in teaching and research, vocational training, knowledge transfer and local partners in the Düsseldorf region.
