University Election Assembly

The University Election Assembly is a central body of the universities, newly anchored in the German Higher Education Act since 2014. Its sole purpose is to elect and de-elect the members of the Rectorate and it is convened for this purpose only.

One half of the University Election Assembly consists of all members of the Senate and the other half of all members of the University Assembly. The members of the Senate who are entitled to vote and the external members of the University Assembly are entitled to vote.

The Office of the Chancellor and the Office of the University Assembly is responsible for managing the affairs of the University Election Assembly. It is at your disposal for all matters concerning the University Election Assembly.
