Occupational Safety, Health and Environment

Recognizing and avoiding hazards in the workplace – that is the task of the Occupational and Environmental Safety Unit. It acts in an advisory capacity in the planning and fitting of new buildings, laboratories or offices. In addition, it is responsible for social occupational protection such, for example, as maternity protection and protection of young people at work, etc.

One of its other most important tasks is to advise and support staff at Heinrich Heine University in the safe and environmentally compatible operation of workplaces and technical facilities.
