The Master of Industrial Pharmacy is a world-leading program of study in all aspects of pharmaceutical sciences in an industrial environment. Taking a transdisciplinary approach, the course utilizes a range of perspectives from
diverse fields and integrates them with industry experiences, case studies, real-world projects and self-directed study, equipping graduates with an understanding of the state-of-the-art concepts, basic and advanced scientific technologies to transform re-search into industrial practice. Work experience/industry practice is an important component of the course.
Entry/Admission requirements
Bachelor in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, final grade: 2.5 (according to the German system, IELTS (6.0) or TOEFL (80). For the complete admission requirement refer to the Entry and Admission Regulation.
Local admission restrictions apply for students applying to start their studies in the first semester. Students applying to continue their studies at a higher semester can apply without local admission restrictions.

Programme content
The course prepares students to participate in a variety of emerging careers in pharma-ceutical industry and related areas. This course provides an additional level of expertise, targeting professionals who have the desire to ultimately lead teams and organizations at the chief scientific or chief ex-ecutive level. Compulsory Modules: Pharmaceutical development, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Managment, Drug regulatory affairs. Optional-compulsory: Drug Discovery, Drug synthesis, Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biopharmacy, Statistics. Elective: Regulatory Framework, Process and Plant design, Medical Devices, Stability testing, Design and supply of clinical studies, Project Managment, Intellectual Properties, International Pharma business. Due to the complexity of the Industrial Pharmacy Master's program, it is desirable to complete the first three semesters at the HHU. After approval, a Master's thesis may also be prepared abroad, e.g. in a pharmaceutical company.

Graduates may be employed for drug discovery, pharmaceutical development, production, quality control, quality assurance and man-agement, regulatory affairs, plant and equipment managers in both pharmaceutical and chemical industry and equipment manufacturers.
