Studieninhalte

The four-semester interdisciplinary master's program is both research-oriented and practice-oriented. On the one hand, it is aimed at those who have completed their first degree in media and/or cultural studies or a related field and would like to deepen their knowledge and research. On the other hand, the program is also aimed at prospective students who would like to acquire competencies in the field of transcultural media and cultural work.

The leading questions of the program regard the significance of media for the creation and development of different cultures. How does the media shape the perception of the individual, its way of understanding itself and its perception of others? How does it shape the processes of communication and meaning and how does it shape cultural, social and political institutions? These questions have been combined into study modules.
